Smile’s Behavioral Support Treatment Program focuses on helping children and their families overcome difficult behavioral conditions. At Smile we understand the challenges that families face when children are diagnosed with any number of developmental disorders. Utilizing a family centered, community based-approach, our skilled behavioral interventionists work closely with both you and your child to develop a treatment plan that considers your child’s individual strengths and challenges and also seeks to understand the motivation or the “why” behind your child’s undesirable behavior(s). Once determined, our program focuses on providing the child and family with strategies to lessen and eventually eliminate the undesirable behavior(s) via systematic support and understanding. Our goal is to create a positive learning environment for all participants to ensure the transfer of skills into the home and community. Caregivers play the most important role in their child’s development and we look forward to together creating a behavioral support plan that works for both your child and family.
